This quote, attributed to the great scientist and inventor in the 1920's, has been challenged and debunked as never been uttered, or at least, not in this way.

However, the meaning, whatever he did or did not say, resonates powerfully as ever.

And in the world of sales, it screams from the mountain tops.

Whenever you are speaking with another human being, whenever your sales process requires an interaction with another living soul, that interaction will ALWAYS trump whatever technology that exists.

Yes, you probably will use AI or some other technology to get the meeting, and yes, you may use some fancy presentation software or demo-crushing website to show your product or service.

But the day we start to rely on these tools solely, the day we can't have the conversation without them, is the day that we may as well all stay home and recreate the Covid igloos we all experienced four years ago and let the robots take over the world.

Now I hate cliches, but they exist for a reason, and this one has always and will always be true - "people buy from people."

End of story.

Now you may put together this amazing email funnel with rockstar copy that gets people to buy your offer, or get them to attend your webinar, or click on your lead magnet, all without speaking to them at all.

But at some point, at some moment along the way, a human conversation needs to happen. And if we don't know how to have that conversation, that SALES conversation, all the bots and Facebook ads and automatic scheduling software won't save you.

So dive into the technology - attack AI with a passion and utilize it's amazingness. Use all the tools you need to to assist you along the way.

But please, please, please, don't lose your humanity on the journey. Don't forget how to have an actual 𝘀𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘒𝘡π˜ͺ𝘰𝘯.

Don't lose your voice, your passion for what you sell, your drive to succeed.

Technology can't replace those.
